I'm delighted to be part of this year's kite festival. Achill Island is a beautiful place, and I'm looking forward to so many kite enthusiasts coming on Sunday 30th July.

Join us for fun, fresh air and a spectacular sight at this year's Festival. Watch the International pros fly kite creations the size of a bus in a thousand colour extravaganza that fills the sky. Fun for all ages, including workshops for the kids and participating in kite flying competitions such as highest kite, best design, most colourful or even best kite crash.

Flying Kites is the perfect way to generate that good energy and celebrate our love for nature and each other. The event itself is free.
There is no admission to attend or to participate.. Most folks come out to see the spectacular sight of hundreds of kites in the sky and to enjoy a summer day on beautiful Keel Beach.
On the Program, there will be a Kite making workshop for the little ones, there will be demonstrations by Pro Kite fliers, there will be some fun competitions like highest kite, best design, most colorful, best crash and loads of entertainment all day on the beach!
Everyone is also welcome to bring their own kite and fly their colors very high in the Mayo Skies!

Families will love our workshops. There will be a kite-making workshop for the little ones and then it’s time to let them fly.
Pro Kite Fliers
Watch demonstrations by expert kite fliers as they bring their beautiful creations to life above your head. Craig Harby and International friends will fill the sky with impressive kites.
Fun Competitions
Share the excitement with the highest kite, best design, most colourful, best crash and loads of entertainment all day on the beach!
Bring Your Own Kite To Fly
Everyone is welcome to bring their own kite, join the fun with your own kite and share the air with the international kite teams.
